Company Profile – L3 EOTech
EOTech - World renowned Holographic Weapon Sights
Nioa Defence proudly represents L3 Communications - EOTech USA. In 2005, EOTech was acquired by L-3 Communications. L-3 Communications has grown very quickly into the sixth largest defense company in the United States and is a leader and prime defense contractor in Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR), secure communications, government services, training and simulation and aircraft modernization and maintenance. The company also is a leading merchant supplier of guidance and navigation products and systems, sensors, scanners, fuzes, data links, propulsion systems, avionics, electro optics, satellite communications, electrical power equipment, encryption products, signal intelligence, antennas and microwave products.
L-3 EOTech designs, manufactures, and markets electro-optics products and systems. It uses advanced laser and holographic technology to enhance optical devices in target acquisition systems, recreational sport optics, and sighted automation environments. L-3 EOTech invented, designed, and manufactures the Holographic Weapon Sight (HWS) - the world's first holographic sighting system for small and medium-sized weapon platforms.
In 1996, EOTech debuted its holographic sighting technology to be used in sport shooting and hunting applications to increase target accuracy and speed of target acquisition. The HWS uses patented technology to provide the user a parallax free sighting device that is nearly indestructible. The HWS removes some of the complexities from targeting and allows the aiming process to become almost instinctive and reflexive.
L-3 EOTech is the exclusive manufacturer and world leader of holographic sighting systems for small arms, and is dedicated to continually producing high quality, battle tested products.

Military HWS
The HWS is actively in use with military forces around the globe, including many special operations forces, like USSOCOM, where it is standard for close quarter, urban combat. Military units like Stryker Brigade, 10th Mountain and 3rd Infantry have chosen the holographic weapon sight as its optic of choice. It is battle proven to withstand the abuse that any harsh environment, high powered weapon platform, or military mission can dish out.
Law Enforcement HWS
The HWS has been standardized by the DEA, ATF and FBI SWAT. The Holographic Weapon Sight is fast becoming the world’s leading choice for close quarter battle environments. The HWS employs a true Heads-Up Display that eliminates blind spots, constricted vision or tunnel vision associated with tubed sights. It has been proven to stand up to multiple threats in any given situation.
Magnifiers
Take advantage of the EOTech HWS's ability to incorporate fixed and flip-up magnifiers.
- Vastly improved accuracy at medium range distances
- Increased target recognition and identification at greater distances
- Achieves extremely rapid transition from Close Quarters Battle to medium range targeting - and back again
- Retro-fits to all current HWS models - providing an instant upgrade path
- The unique Holographic technology allows the center dot to remain 1 moa in size, while the angular size of the target is magnified
- Zero is maintained in the HWS and not in the magnifier - you never lose zero, no matter if you are targeting through the magnifier or only through the HWS
- Both magnifier mounts provide elevation and azimuth adjustment to allow the reticle to be centered in the FOV of the magnifier
40mm Grenade Launcher HWS
L-3 EOTech is proud to introduce the new EGL-1. The EGL-1 gives the shooter speed, accuracy and simplicity leagues beyond that of leaf sights or other, more expensive electro-optic aiming devices for the M-203 40mm launcher. The EGL-1 is a parallax free sight that comes from the factory pre-zeroed. Simply mount it to the left side of your rifle’s quad rail and you’re ready to fire. The EGL-1’s reticle is a graduated scale that gives the user better accuracy from 100m out to 360m. The magic of holography gives the user an image that is parallax free throughout the scale, accounts for wind-drift of the round, and can be viewed as the angle of the sight is moved up and down to view the scale (which angles the barrel of the launcher).
